RecaldentTMis a unique ingredient derived from naturally occurring protein found in cows’ milk, CPP-ACP
(casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate). It was discovered in the 80’s by Laureate Professor Eric Reynolds AO PhD FICD FTSE FRACDS, the Head of the Oral Biology Research Group at the University of Melbourne and CEO of the Oral Health Cooperative Research Centre (CRC).

Regulatory
and Safety.

RecaldentTMprovides a rich source of bio-available calcium and phosphate for remineralisation of tooth enamel. It has been certified GRAS (Generally recognized as safe) and is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for the abrasive cleaning of teeth and treatment of tooth sensitivity.

Technologies using RecaldentTM have been recommended for providing extra tooth protection for high-risk dental patients including pregnant women and medically compromised patients (e.g. cancer patients).

In Japan, RecaldentTM is certified as a FOSHU (Foods for Specified Health Use, also known as TOKUHO) when used in sugar-free gum to prevent cavities and to strengthen teeth by retarding demineralisation and promoting remineralisation of the lesion with acid resistance mineral.
